We’re always being asked why we call ourselves “The Mallard Group,”
so for those who are interested, here’s the story:
- Mallards are independent ducks that group together seasonally in fresh-water
ponds, rivers and lakes to work and live.
We are independent marketing and communications professionals who group together
for various projects.
- Mallards fly thousands of miles in perfect formation, using drafting techniques
to increase the efficiency of the entire group.
We have “flown together” on countless projects, using systems and procedures
that ensure efficient working techniques. And we migrate all over the world!
- In these formations, the leader flies for a period of time, then is replaced
by another when he tires. This team tactic ensures that the flock always gets where
it’s going on time.
We’re team players who get your projects where they’re going –
on time and on budget.
- Mallards are agile fliers that can take off almost vertically, without taxiing.
We respond just as quickly when you need something.
- Mallards on the outside of the flock sleep with one eye open.
We’re on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Mallards mate for life.
We believe in establishing and nurturing long-term relationships.
- Mallards are gregarious.
We’re friendly, too!
Our logo
Catharine Barker, our creative director, designed The Mallard Group’s intriguing
logo. A bit of a brain teaser, it reflects the mallard theme while representing
the calibre of our work. The stylized feather pen can also be seen as an exclamation
mark, symbolizing the “punch” we put into our work.
We selected the logo in a focus group comprising several clients. We presented three
options to respondents, who were unanimous in their choice.
